How to use it
- Get the skin slippery. Wet the area and rub in a dab of OmniShave Butter, about the size of a quarter. The shaver needs to glide, not drag.
- Press firmly and move in a straight line. Short strokes of two to three inches, forward and back. A light, hesitant stroke tugs hair instead of cutting it.
- Never move it sideways across your skin. If a cut happens, a sideways movement caused it. Keep the head traveling in the direction the blades face.
- Three or four strokes per area, then move on. Going over the same patch again and again is what makes skin sore, not the blades.
- Rinse it out when you are done. Hot water through the head, shake it dry, and stand it somewhere it can air out.
The one rule that matters most: move the shaver forward and back, never sideways across the skin. Sideways movement is the cause of nearly every nick people report.

Warming the head. Hot tap water only, and never above 160 F (71 C). Do not use a hairdryer, a heat gun or any other hot air source on the shaver, and do not boil it.
About the OmniShave Butter
It is not ordinary shaving cream, and the reason is the blades. Most creams contain Behentrimonium Chloride, Panthenol or Pantothenic Acid, all of which oxidize steel and rust a cartridge from the inside. OmniShave Butter was reformulated over six months specifically to leave them out.
- Thick coming out of the tube so it does not run or drip, and it spreads thin as you rub it in
- Starts white so you can see exactly where it has gone, then turns clear as it works in
- Stays slippery for the whole shave, so there is no stopping to rinse and reapply
- A quarter-sized dab, about half a teaspoon, is enough for a full shave
- Doubles as a moisturizer. Leave it on afterwards, or rinse and put a little back on
- Tea tree, aloe and shea butter to calm the skin, with the scent coming from the tea tree oil
The butter is made in the USA, is non-GMO, vegan friendly with no animal ingredients, and is not tested on animals.

Compatibility. The cartridges in this kit fit the Premium OmniShaver and the Premium Touch-Up. They do not fit Classic or Disposable models.
Common questions
Will it work on long hair?
No. Like any cartridge razor it is built for stubble and short growth. If the hair is long enough to lie flat, trim it down first, then shave.
Do I need to rinse it during the shave?
No, and that is most of the time saving. The opposing blade set clears debris as you go. Rinse it out once at the end.
How long do the blades last?
It depends on how coarse your hair is and how well you rinse and dry the head, but because the blades strop themselves on every stroke, most customers get at least twice the life they were getting from an ordinary cartridge.
It feels like it has gone dull. Has it?
Usually not. A head packed with dried hair and butter feels exactly like a blunt blade. Run hot water through it, work the head back and forth to strop the edges, shake it dry, and try again before replacing the cartridge.
How much cheaper is the kit than buying the pieces?
Enough that almost nobody buys them separately. Add the five items to your basket individually and compare if you want to see the difference.
Do I need the spare cartridges straight away?
No. They sit in the drawer until the first set finally stops cutting, which for most people is months rather than weeks.
Is there a version with more accessories?
Yes. The Deluxe OmniShaver Kit adds the Premium Touch-Up for detail work and the Hot Water Tongs.

Self-Stropping Blades

Blade Longevity
OmniShaver blades outlast other blade edges because they self-straighten and polish (or “strop”) during use. Most razors require blades to be replaced after one week of shaves, so expect at least two weeks of shaves from OmniShaver blades, which offers great value.

After seeing the OmniShaver on YouTube I opted to give it a try and bought the OmniShaver kit. I’m always looking for a better way to shave my head and thought OmniShaver looked promising. Three head shaves in—I shave my head every fourth day—and I’m very happy. It took no time at all to learn to press harder on the shaver and take shorter strokes than would be expected and it gives a very quick and very smooth result. I once read a negative review of the OmniShaver that said it was akin to sanding your hair off. I understand what the reviewer meant but I actually like that feeling and the feedback it gives for areas I can’t see that aren’t completely shaved. There are absolutely no problems with the shaver clogging up, as I’ve had with other shavers, and it cleans up very easily. I my opinion, as long as you follow the very clear and often-repeated instructions that come with the OmniShaver, it will perform very well.
I bought one for myself last year. I loved it so much that I just recently got a lot for my son and he loves it. I have to reorder the shave butter. Using other shave butters can cause the blades to go bad faster, so you will have to replace the blades more often. I love this line of products.

Both the razors and the shaving cream are great. I shave my head every day and these razors last a solid month most other brands won't last me a week. It also makes shaving fast and cuts closer to the skin

I was looking for a good head shaver. when I discovered this product it was on a YouTube video comparing it to a top electric razor I was interested in at the time. I was so impressed by this Omnishaver that I bought it immediately!
This product hasn't been a let down! It's simple to use, fast, delivers a good clean shave and with no razor burn! I'm really impressed! The only downside would be that I ordered the kit and was missing 2 items. I emailed the company and they quickly responded and had the remaining items delivered fast. I really like this product and can't say enough!
Well over all I like the razor. It dose cut close and give you a slick head but even though it did cut my shave time down I still like it best if I do two shaves back to back. One seams like it just not quite enough. The main thing I was disappointed in was I only like to shave twice a week and it doesn't do as well with three or four days growth, its best to shave everyday wich really I don't like to do but it does seem to cut better that way. I haven't used it long enough to judged the blads life. I do like the shave butter real well it does a nice job of lubricating the head as well as moisturizing it. The hot water tongs was as expected. Same for the travel case but the holding case with the suction cup, I fell the suction cup could be better it won't stick to anything for long and it could fall with the omni shaved and damage it. Shiping was fast and on time.

Worked great..used it last night for first time, and it did a good job. I used my normal razor to finish, but its just because Im not used to using tbe Omnishaver around the ears, etc...but it took, literally, less than 5 minutes to shave
Included blades were cheap plastic blades anf were dull. After i put the ones that came in the kit as "refills" then it wasbt a bad shave. Still having a hard time with getting a straight blade to cleanly shave a round head (like any straight razor has). Frankly, I'm bummed that i fell for the hype and expected something different (like it was advertised) but you live and learn. Either way, not amazing and im going back to the skull shaver.....so 3 stars.

As a head shaver, it’s honestly just faster to use my regular razor. Was looking for a faster alternative, and this wasn’t it. The shave cream was pretty mid as well.
This is the best shaver I ever used. I tried electric shavers and regular shavers and razors. Omni-Shave gives me the best closest shave without having to worry about cutting myself. I liked it so much I purchased two additional kits. In my opinion this is the number one best shaver for shaving your head.

The OmniShaver Kit
I was skeptical at first and purchased my first Omni Shaver on a whim. When it came in, I used it that night, in an unfair test that no blade should really be held up against; I hadn't shaved my head in almost a week. The Omni Shaver didn't seem to be bothered by that. It did amazingly well. I have now started purchasing the replacement blades, and I think I'm on my 4th Omni Shaver. I have NEVER gotten a nick, cut, scrape or scratch using this thing. No matter how fast I move it across my head (I recommend caution until you get the hang of it). I have recommended it to others, and given them as gifts to both bald friends of mine, and women (most of whom rave about how smooth and quick their leg shaves are now). If you're bald, and you want a quick, safe, close shave, I highly recommend you try the Omni Shaver. You won't be disappointed.

After having watched a dozen of youtube videos and reviews I decided to give it a try. I ended up paying more than a 100 USD to have the omnishaver delivered in Europe, courier cost me more than the actual product and I also had to pay import tax. After following the instructions by the dot I gave it a try. All online videos make it look easy, the reality is it's not. The onnishaver is only suitable for a back and forth motion, hard to shave the area behind the ears, and you'll most probably end up with minor cuts at the back of your neck and sides if you shave on an up and down motion. Yes you don't have to rinse it as you shave, and the shaving butter is better than most shaving creams, but those aren't enough to say that it's better than a gillette fusion razor. With omnishaver I got minor cuts on my sides and an irritated back of my neck for the first time in 2 years of head shaving. Unless omnishaver is not suitable for a close shave, then in that case it gets the job done but wouldn't recommend it.

I used them back when they first released and idk, feels like they've dropped in quality. The blades now irritate the back of my neck leaving it red and covered in bumps . Was a careful as I could be used hot water, the washed head before hand and used the shave cream too.

No bladed shaver will prevent razor bumps and ingrown hairs. The only way to prevent receiving them is by using an electric foil shaver. OmniShaver is used quite frequently by people that had complained about receiving razor bumps and ingrown hairs but to safe-guard against getting them we recommend that you only go over each area that you are shaving two and three back and forth strokes. Most people receive ingrown hairs and razor bumps because they shave sub dermally after performing too many shaving strokes. We offer an amazing Shave Butter that helps to prevent razor bumps and ingrown hairs but again it really has to do with how many strokes performed. Often people think that there is skin is smooth after a few strokes and think it will be more smooth if performed more strokes and this is the practice that causes ingrown hairs and razor bumps.
