The Premium head holds heat, which is the point of it. That also means it is genuinely hot coming out of the water. The tongs clamp on so you can dunk it, hold it under a running tap and lift it back out without hunting around for a towel.

Warming the head. Hot tap water only, and never above 160 F (71 C). Do not use a hairdryer, a heat gun or any other hot air source on the shaver, and do not boil it.

Can I use boiling water with them?
No. Keep it below 160 F (71 C). Hotter than that risks the shaver, tongs or no tongs.

Blade Longevity
OmniShaver blades outlast other blade edges because they self-straighten and polish (or “strop”) during use. Most razors require blades to be replaced after one week of shaves, so expect at least two weeks of shaves from OmniShaver blades, which offers great value.

Hot Water Tongs
Works exactly as advertised. I used to sit the shaver in a small dish so I could get it out easily. Now I can use a taller glass which gets it hotter. I love running it under super hot to clean up the shaver. But getting it hot enough to thoroughly loosen up the used shave butter can be quite painful after awhile. Now no more burned digits.

I really love the shaved
The hot water tongs are a great addition to the omnishaver package. It helps also for rinsing the shaver when you're done. I pop it into the togs and give it a good shake in hot water before rinsing under the sink. The tongs hold it firmly/its a great fit.

Funny, I never thought I’d leave a review for tongs, but these are worth it if you need to get your order over $50 for free shipping! They actually come in REALLY handy when you need to let your OmniShaver heat up. Just pull it out with the tongs and start shaving, no burning fingertips required!
Tongs make cleaning easier. A clean OmniShaver means a better shave. Nothing more need be said. Thanks for the best head shaver I have ever found in 20+ years of going “bare up there”.

Holds the shaver good. Made of plastic but nice and thick what you would want far as quality. Symple design but does the job. I also reviewed the omni shaver was honest about it then was replied with some excuse like it was the way I was using it and was sent vedios on YouTube. They send you the email wanting to know and then I feel they get a little upset when you tell them the truth and don't give it the automatic 5 *****. I had did a lot of referenceing and research all ready. Yes I do like it!!! Don't get me wrong. I would and have recommend this shaver. I just think it doesn't cut the longer growth hair as well as they claim even doing what the directions stated.
