Why the butter matters to the blades
Why not just use shaving cream? Most creams and lotions contain Behentrimonium Chloride, Panthenol or Pantothenic Acid. Those oxidize steel and will rust your blades. OmniShave Butter took over six months to formulate specifically to leave those out, which is why it does not shorten the life of a cartridge the way ordinary cream does.
- Thick coming out of the tube so it does not run or drip, and it spreads thin as you rub it in
- Starts white so you can see exactly where it has gone, then turns clear as it works in
- Stays slippery for the whole shave, so there is no stopping to rinse and reapply
- A quarter-sized dab, about half a teaspoon, is enough for a full shave
- Doubles as a moisturizer. Leave it on afterwards, or rinse and put a little back on
- Tea tree, aloe and shea butter to calm the skin, with the scent coming from the tea tree oil
Compatibility. The cartridges fit the Premium OmniShaver and the Premium Touch-Up. They do not fit Classic or Disposable models. The butter works with any razor.
How to use them
- Wet the area, rub in a quarter-sized dab of butter until it turns clear, and shave.
- Rinse the head out under hot water afterwards and let it dry head down.
- When the shaver still pulls after a proper hot rinse and strop, change the cartridge with the removal tool.

Will the cartridges fit my Classic?
No. Classic and Disposable models do not take replacement cartridges. The butter is fine with any razor.
Shipping and returns
Shipping. Free standard shipping in the United States on orders over 60 dollars, including P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Orders to Canada have duties and import taxes calculated and charged at checkout, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery. Full detail is on the shipping and returns page.

Self-Cleaning Razor
We’ve crafted the world’s first self-cleaning shaver, meaning that you can save yourself time and effort while shaving by cutting out regular stopping and rinsing. This system works by dislodging and drawing hairs out of one set of blades on each backward stroke while the other continues to cut and shave away. Once your shave is complete you simply have to rinse the blades out once thoroughly and let the OmniShaver airdry.
Self-Stropping Blades
‘Stropping’ is the final stage in sharpening and maintaining blades, and ours are designed to strop against the skin on your scalp and body. As you stroke your shaver back and forth, the blades are essentially polishing themselves against the surface of your skin, leaving them straighter and sharper with every shave. When properly cared for, washed, and dried, these blades should last up to twice as long when compared to typical razor blades.

Blade Longevity
OmniShaver blades outlast other blade edges because they self-straighten and polish (or “strop”) during use. Most razors require blades to be replaced after one week of shaves, so expect at least two weeks of shaves from OmniShaver blades, which offers great value.

Difference Between Classic & Premium?

I am a very hairy dude. Before I found this product, my wife called in my body hair, a natural sweater, (angora; black, brown, gray mix, lol). My back was so hair, the would curl. Got to the point where I was embarrassed to ask my wife to shave my back. I found this product. I use it every other week, should probably use it once a week, but with the time involved, I extend the intervals out. I find the best way to use the product, with the every other week schedule, is to fill the sink up with three-quarter hot water, periodically rinse/swish the razor out in the water and then when completely finished with the razor use full force to rinse the razor before you storing. I use a clipper on my chest to shorten hairs, but not completely remove, I like some manlihood look.
I used the Omni Shaver for 2 years and loved it! However, I can't shave more than 2 times now without it falling apart. I've been using the trimmer for my entire head for a while now but this is my last purchase. Customer service refuses to answer any of my emails about this quality issue. I would purchase a replacement but I need to know if something about the manufacturing has changed.
All around easy, clean, close shave. The only drawback is I wish the blade's lasted a little longer.
But over all, it's way worth using

I have been a customer of Omnishaver since its launch in Jan 2019. I am an absolute fan of the blades and the even bigger fan of the original version of shave butter. However the latest version of the shave butter delivered in June really missed the mark. The butter was far more liquidy compared to previous versions and that did not lead to a smooth shave as expected. It leads me to believe there is decline in quality since this product got more sales. I am unhappy and wish that you go back to the original version of the Shave Butter.

I ordered the shave butter & cartridge replacement & only got the shave butter. I sent a email to customer service about it and 5 business days have passed and no response. I’m going to just buy razors from somewhere else now. Don’t get me wrong the products are fine but yeah I’m done with omnishaver
