For keeping a back smooth once the long hair is gone. Self-cleaning, self-stropping, fully articulating, and usable entirely on your own.

This is the daily razor, not the first-shave razor. The heads articulate so the blades follow the shape of your back rather than skating over it, the handles are non-slip and can be configured several ways to suit how you reach, and the built-in lotion spreader means nobody else has to be involved.

A man shaving his own back in the shower with the Maintenance Back-Razor

Two razors, two jobs. The Initial Back-Razor takes long, unshaved hair down. The Maintenance Back-Razor keeps it down. Starting a first shave with the Maintenance razor will clog it almost immediately, which is why they are sold as a pair in the Complete Kit.

What makes it work on your own

Fully articulating headsThe shaving heads follow the contours of your back instead of bridging across them.
Non-slip handlesGrippy when wet, and they assemble in several configurations so you can reach the awkward parts whichever way you are built.
Built-in lotion spreaderLay lubrication across your whole back without asking anyone for help.
Self-cleaning and self-stroppingThe same opposing blade action as the OmniShaver, so it clears itself as you go and the edges keep their keenness.
The non-slip handles shown in several articulated configurations
The lotion spreader attachment applying lubrication

How to use it

  1. Wet your back and use the lotion spreader to lay lubrication over the whole area.
  2. Work in straight strokes, section by section. As with every OmniShaver, do not drag it sideways across the skin.
  3. Rinse it out under hot water when you are done and let it dry.

Common questions

Can I use it for my first ever back shave?

Not well. Long hair clogs it. Take the first growth down with the Initial Back-Razor, then this razor keeps it down.

Can the heads be used anywhere else?

Yes. The shaving heads detach, which makes them useful on arms, shoulders and chest.

Do I need help to use it?

No. The reach, the handle configurations and the lotion spreader are all there so you do not.

What Makes Us Different?

Also Shaves Body, Arms and Legs.

Non-Electrical

OmniShaver is a fully manual razor with no electrical components, requiring no batteries or charging. Despite being manual, it offers a quick, thorough shave for men and women's head, arm, leg, and body, without leaving stray hairs or stubble like electric razors.

Rinse once shave is complete

Self-Cleaning Razor

We’ve crafted the world’s first self-cleaning shaver, meaning that you can save yourself time and effort while shaving by cutting out regular stopping and rinsing. This system works by dislodging and drawing hairs out of one set of blades on each backward stroke while the other continues to cut and shave away. Once your shave is complete you simply have to rinse the blades out once thoroughly and let the OmniShaver airdry.

Self-Stropping Blades while shaving bi-directional. Blades last twice as long as competitors

Self-Stropping Blades

‘Stropping’ is the final stage in sharpening and maintaining blades, and ours are designed to strop against the skin on your scalp and body. As you stroke your shaver back and forth, the blades are essentially polishing themselves against the surface of your skin, leaving them straighter and sharper with every shave. When properly cared for, washed, and dried, these blades should last up to twice as long when compared to typical razor blades.

Blade Longevity

OmniShaver blades outlast other blade edges because they self-straighten and polish (or “strop”) during use. Most razors require blades to be replaced after one week of shaves, so expect at least two weeks of shaves from OmniShaver blades, which offers great value.

Our Product is Eco-Friendly in Several Ways:

#1- There is no need to rinse OmniShaver and EcoRazor's blades while shaving. According to the EPA, a typical shave will waste 10 gallons of water, so a year’s worth of daily shaves will waste 3,650 gallons of water per person.

#2- OmniShaver and EcoRazor's exponentially outlasts traditional shavers. According to the EPA, about 2 billion shavers are thrown away each year. OmniShaver and EcoRazor's use will exponentially decrease that number.

#3- We incorporate recycled plastics into our production.

Difference Between Classic & Premium?

The Classic and Premium both provide quality shaves, but with distinct design and performance differences. The Premium OmniShaver has a triple plated steel head, making it heavier and capable of transferring heat during the shave for a soothing sensation and closer shave. The Classic features a lightweight plastic head and doesn't accept replacement cartridges. While the Premium offers a luxurious, long-lasting experience, the Classic model is ideal for those prioritizing portability, convenience, and budget-friendliness.

It does exactly what it promises to do, and does it well.

For my back, I've used clippers, the large straight razors, and nair cream. This easily has been the easiest and best way to remove back hair. It won't work for super long hair (clippers work best for me for that), but once it's short, this will do a great job at keeping you pretty smooth. It worked well the first time, but I wanted to wait until I'd used it a few times before giving a review. I've used it 4 times now (about once a week) and it's only gotten easier and quicker to use. It doesn't remove quite as well as Nair cream, but you can do it yourself and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty quick. I use it with the shave butter and it only takes a little to cover your back. This worked so well that I bought the smaller shaver for my head (also works really well). So all in all, this product is excellent, and I'm glad I finally found a relatively easy and inexpensive way to deal with my back hair. Also, I should note - I was not offered any cards, discounts, or other promotions in exchange for writing a review - I'm genuinely enthusiastic to share this feedback.

Hi Joseph, I really appreciate the time you took to give such a glowing review. It makes me really happy to hear how well the product is working for you - Kindest Regards, John H. OmniShaver Inventor.

It’s good BUT…

I think this shaver is good, the only problem I have with it is the razors go dull really fast.

Dear Rey,

My top goal is to make sure all people trying OmniShaver enjoy their shaving experience so please allow me to help.

FYI: OmniShaver's blades are US made and are very high quality. No one can answer how long any manufacturer's blade edges will stay sharp because sharpness depends on many factors like thickness of hair, the coarseness of hair, amount of hair, length of stubble being cut and lubrication being used...Having said all that I can confidently say that if OmniShaver's suggestions from its instruction sheet are followed, its blade edges will stay sharp longer than all other shavers. If OmniShaver's blades are tugging, or not shaving well after only a few shaves, then it's because not enough deliberate downward pressure is being applied, or it's because the blades are clogged with debris.

Most other shavers require replacement blades after about a week's worth of shaves, so getting a month's worth of use from your OmniShaver is usually considered by most to be a good value.

***The following is what we write on our website about how long your OmniShaver should last: 'Although individual experiences may vary, OmniShaver feels that if properly maintained and used, our shaver will provide at least twice the number of shaves other shavers or razors can provide.'

I need to be careful about how I make my recommendations because it might sound like I'm suggesting you did something wrong (which I don't believe you did). OmniShaver has a learning curve because it's like using no other shaver, so please allow me to thoughtfully share some advice that I think will be helpful...

#1- The MOST important OmniShaver use recommendation by far is applying deliberate downward bi-directional stroking pressure. This is the main reason why sharp blades can feel dull and tug hair...Here is a short instructional video that will explain how to get the best shaving results from your OmniShaver. Please look up the video on youtube: 'OmniShaver Head Shave Instructions For BEST Results'. Please pay special attention to 0:45.

#2- Please look closely at your blades to see if they look like brand new. If cleaned well after each use your OmniShaver will look and function great. If there is a film on the blades or on the chrome shaving head, or if you can see any other shaving debris that hasn't been completely removed from your cleaning attempts, then the blades will not be able to self clean, self sharpen or shave well at all. Please search for '4 Important Tips On Getting The Most Out of Your OmniShaver' on youtube and pay special attention to 0:44.

Please let me know how these videos and suggestions work for you.
Kindest Regards,
John Harris

Best back shaver ever!

I used to use the bakblade and it was good when the hair was longer but not for maintenance. I use the omni back shaver which is essentially a double omni shaver every second or third day and it does an amazing job. The long handle allows me to get to any part of my back without an issue. I can't say enough positive things about this shaver. I can finally throw everything else away.
