OmniShaver's blades are USA made and are very high quality. No one can answer how long any manufacturer's blade edges will stay sharp because sharpness depends on many factors like thickness of hair, the coarseness of hair, amount of hair, length of stubble being cut and lubrication being used...Having said all that I can confidently say that if OmniShaver's suggestions from its instruction sheet are followed, its blade edges will stay sharp longer than all other shavers. If OmniShaver's blades are tugging, or not shaving well after only a few shaves, then it's because not enough deliberate downward pressure is being applied, or it's because the blades are clogged with debris.
We initially ordered a million blades which were all stamped and ground at the same time, so they are all identical. This is why I can confidently say that your blades are no different than any other blades that we have sold or are selling currently. I can also say that if you've only received two shaves and are experiencing hair tugging it's not because the blades are dull. There are two reasons why hair will feel like its being tugged within the first two “weeks” of use. The first is that they are clogged with shaving debris. To see if this is the case, please look through your blades to the back of your shaver and if it is not free of debris then I would recommend a different cleaning regimen. The second reason why hair tugging would take place with virtually brand new blades because not enough downward pressure is being applied during your back and forth shaving strokes.
I'm going to include two videos below that will demonstrate the correct shaving stroke technique and will demonstrate correct cleaning procedures:
